A slight, wiry young man with fair skin still flushed from twenty-eight minutes under the lights, hair bleached to white with two inches of dark root grown out, and pale blue-grey eyes that slide away the instant anyone addresses him directly. Narrow shoulders, a long jaw, and a crooked line of self-inked stars climbing the inside of one forearm.
