What's new

Small refinements. New possibilities. Here's what's changed for your stories.

Continue your latest story from homeA shortcut above the catalog takes you back to your most recently active story.

When you’re signed in and have an active story, its title and a Continue button now appear above the home catalog. Open it to return to that same conversation.

Opening the session doesn’t add a reply or advance time in the story. You choose when to continue the scene.

Keep the parts of a reply you likeRemove a passage from the latest reply, with a reminder before you discard unsaved edits.

Sometimes a reply is almost right. You can edit the latest story reply and remove individual passages while keeping the rest. At least one passage must remain.

If you close the editor with unsaved changes, you’ll be asked whether to keep editing or discard them. Your story changes only when you save.

This works on the latest generated reply, not the opening or earlier replies. Previously generated images stay in your story.

Keep what fits your storyExample

The café was almost empty. Outside, the last of the rain caught the light from the window.

Lia

“We don’t have to go anywhere just yet.”

She started to tell him what would happen next.

A passage you choose to remove.

A steadier sense of what happenedStory memory handles your role, the people present and changes in the scene more carefully.

We improved how a story keeps track of who did what, especially when your character has no name or someone has left the scene. Changes to clothing and time are handled more consistently too.

Characters have clearer guidance to leave your decisions to you and keep an unanswered invitation open. These changes reduce continuity slips; they don’t make AI memory infallible.

Three worlds to make your ownStart with a character and a place, then decide what kind of story to tell.

Saltwater Saturday puts you in a seaside bookbinding shop. The Night Atlas opens in a floating city, and A Place Under Glass takes you to a lunar habitat.

Each opening establishes an adult protagonist with a life already in motion. What you do next is yours: follow a relationship, explore the setting or enjoy an ordinary day. There’s no prescribed romance or ending.

More room for the storyClearer paragraphs and dialogue make longer scenes easier to settle into.

Story replies now read more like a page: narration flows in paragraphs, with speech set apart so it’s easier to follow who’s talking.

The warmer reading surface and quieter composer help keep your attention on the scene. You can still adjust the reading size in your session.

A little space to get lost inExample

The café was almost empty. Outside, the last of the rain caught the light from the window.

Lia

“We don’t have to go anywhere just yet.”

She set down her cup, leaving the moment open.

Free chat for your storiesExplore stories with a daily chat allowance, without artificial waiting between replies.

Free chat gives you a daily allowance of completed replies, without artificial waiting between messages. The session shows a warning when you’re getting close to the limit. Failed or stopped replies don’t use that allowance.

Images and videos use media credits separately from chat.

Seven new stories to fall intoMore kinds of romantic beginnings, from a quiet rooftop to a city above the neon.

The new collection includes After the Pool Closes, One Song After Midnight, Borrowed Names, Above the Neon, The Velvet Treaty, No Encore Tonight and Three Seats After Closing.

Some begin with one person, others with a duet or a whole cast. Two are open worlds. Each has its own opening and cover, so you can choose the mood before stepping in.

A second chance at the last exchangeCorrect your latest message or adjust the latest story reply without starting over.

Use the message actions to change your last message and generate a replacement reply. If the rewrite fails or you stop it, the original exchange stays in place.

You can also edit the latest generated reply yourself. Manual wording changes don’t generate another response or use your chat allowance. Story memory is recalculated from the corrected exchange; existing images stay in place.

Editing applies to the latest reply and the message immediately before it. The authored opening and earlier exchanges remain unchanged.

Find your kind of storySearch by a setting or theme, or find a familiar face by name.

Story browsing now includes text search and theme filters alongside the existing pace, point-of-view and cast filters. Short hooks help you see what makes each story different before opening it.

The character catalog supports name search and alphabetical browsing. Profiles put personality and behavior before the expandable appearance description, so it’s easier to get a feel for someone.

Pick up the story you already startedA story page can take you straight back to your active playthrough.

When you’re signed in and have an active session for a story, its page shows Continue the scene. Open it to return to that session instead of wondering whether you’re about to start again.

This returns to the existing conversation. It doesn’t skip time, add a reply or move the fictional scene forward on its own.

Sixteen more distinctive beginningsReworked story openings give each scene its own voice and leave more room for your response.

We rewrote sixteen catalog openings to give them more distinct situations and prose voices. They’re less likely to rush past your participation or begin with declarations that haven’t happened yet.

The changes apply when you begin those stories. Conversations you already started keep their existing opening and history.
