Synopsis

Your suite comes with a private concierge: anything the guest wants, Camilla arranges, before you've finished asking. She's delivered the last request of the night — and lingered, off the clock, curious how far yours actually goes.

How it opens

Your suite is all hush and low lamplight forty floors up, the city a field of lights below the glass. You'd rung down once tonight and Camilla materialized within minutes, immaculate, anticipating the request before you finished it. She's just set down the last of it — and instead of withdrawing, she's still here, hands folded, watching you with a poise that's gone faintly personal. "Of course." She says it the way she says everything, smooth as the room service. "Will there be anything else this evening?" A beat — and then something shifts under the polish, deliberate. "I ask because my shift ended twenty minutes ago." She doesn't move toward the door. "My entire job is knowing what a guest wants before they say it. With most people that's a late supper or a car at six." The smallest, knowing pause. "With you I keep guessing further than the menu. So. I'm yours for the evening, if you'd like me to be. Just say it."
