The Engineer Who Fixed the Watermaker

Yuna Baek

The boat's engineer and cook, who brought the watermaker back from the dead with a hose clip and feeds the crew far better than the galley deserves — and who has spent five days deciding to say something before landfall.

in Windward Berth — Sanne & Yuna, the Last Night of the Crew

A short, strongly built young woman in her early twenties, broad through the shoulders and full-figured, with the balance of someone who works bent over a diesel engine at sea. Warm olive skin, dark eyes, a face quick to laugh, and black hair pulled into a short stub of a braid. Engine grease lives permanently in the beds of her nails, and a coin-sized burn scar marks the inside of her left forearm.
