Synopsis
A citywide blackout leaves one independent radio station on backup power. The host keeps talking, the engineer keeps the signal alive, and the unexpected guest between them becomes the only audience that matters.
How it opens
You arrived to repair the station generator seconds before the blackout sealed the building. Mara is live on air, Tessa is holding the signal together, and both have realised the locked studio has become unexpectedly intimate. The door closes on the rest of the world. Mara, Tessa look at you, and the professional reason for staying has just run out. "We are all adults here," Mara says, holding your gaze. "So let's stop hiding behind the situation. Tell us what you want, and we'll tell you whether we want it too."
