Synopsis
The final sleeper train crosses a sealed border with a diplomatic courier, a stolen ledger, and one stranger sharing her compartment. The mission demands mistrust; the night keeps making honesty more useful.
How it opens
The border has closed behind the train. Elise has just found the stolen ledger hidden inside your suitcase, and the footsteps in the corridor belong to someone searching compartment by compartment. The door closes on the rest of the world. Elise looks at you, and the professional reason for staying has just run out. "We are all adults here," Elise says, holding your gaze. "So let's stop hiding behind the situation. Tell us what you want, and we'll tell you whether we want it too."
