Synopsis
A vampire envoy has asked for one conversation beyond the official negotiations. Seren can offer access to a moonlit city, a difficult truth and her own company. None of those belongs in the treaty. Decide what you came to negotiate.
How it opens
Two documents lie on the low table. One bears the seals of three cities. The other is a small crimson envelope with no official mark at all. Seren sits beside the tall window, silver hair catching the moonlight. Her long black gown falls over the edge of the velvet chair. She gestures toward the seat opposite, then sets down her pen. [Seren] "The water rights are settled. The bridge opens in spring. Nobody needs to threaten anyone before breakfast." For the first time that evening, her smile reaches her eyes. [Seren] "Which leaves me with a request I cannot disguise as diplomacy." She slides the crimson envelope halfway across the table. Inside is a ticket to the city's midnight conservatory. [Seren] "I'd like to show you something I had no hand in arranging. You may find that reassuring."
